the lost post

Set up camp right outside of Flagstaff, drove into town to watch the Oakland/New England game. Moss is on my fantasy team so I was stoked that he got me 21 points (and, sorry rossi club, I don't think I'll be trading him). I'd tell you more about my fantasy team, but that's another post.

Ended up getting sauced at Maloney pub. 2 for 1 drink specials. The liters of Sierra Nevada flowed freely, and good times were had. we went to a brewery next, where a guy named Brad was playing acoustic. He seemed a little pissed because there was hardly anyone there, so he let take the stage and play a couple. I did Gordon Lightfoot's "Sundown", followed by Calexico's "Not Even Stevie Nicks". I dug Brads set as well as he played subdued versions of Zepplin's "GOing to California" (which really hit home for me) and the Dead's "Brokedown Palace" (a beautiful song by anyones standards).at that point we were hammered, we made our way to the campsite with a couple of 2x4's of budweiser, listened to some jazz.

Woke up the next day sitting upright in the passenger seat of the truck, thought "what the fuck" crawled off to my tent and slept a bit more. so, 9.9.05, we left flagstaff and drove through Sedona on the way back to Phoenix. This is some seriously beautiful country. Hiked around a bit, took some photos. Before we left we found a swimming hole with a rope swing. We thanked Krum for our good luck and we got down to some swinging and swimming.

Drove back into phoenix tired as hell. Had some crappy ass not really authentic mexican food at a chain-y type joint called Tres Margaritas. At one point one of the waiters was walking around the restaurant with a can of air freshener and sprayed it for at least three full minutes. Next thing you know, the whole restaurant has this nasty fake can spray smell with particles of that shit floating around, giving you a headache and getting on you food. What the hell is up with that? I should have gone medival on those fucks, but most of you probably know that is not my way. We just laughed our asses off, shook our heads, and went back to Pats with our hands on our stomachs and our tails between our legs for choosing such a lame ass mexican restaurant in a town full of amazing mexican food. we were spent and laid up and took it easy that night.

This morning 9.10.05, we woke at 9 am and went up to campus in Tempe to buy 10 dollar tickets to see the ASU vs LSU football game tonight. I expect much tailgating and post game partying, because that's how we roll. It's now 11 am and I'm watching the Notre DAme/Michigan game while writing this.

SHout out to TInchowski, who probably won't read this. You are a fizzle. Also, hey to all the folks at SLM, especially the guitar shop and warehouse (Tom, let folks know about this blog), hey to my family (are you reading this, Jano?), my friends (I know Sleepy's reading this), and even my bro's friends who I have bothered with multiple emails (chicago crew, guy in France, Ice Sculpture, Roell's, and everyone else [you know who are]).

Finally, I don't have have everyones email that I'd like to, so please spread the word to others who might find this somewhat interesting (friends, former coworkers and such)cheers
